Spianata Rolls

Tasty pastry rolls with slices of Spianata Romana inside!
Another way to praise the tastiness of Corte Buona deli meats is to use them in quick and tasty preparation. Here you can find a dish to enjoy when the period of outdoor lunch and poolside aperitif starts. We suggest you these “Pizza rolls” with Spianata Romana, ideal to enjoy with your friends!
Ingredients (for 2 people):
Let’s start with the making of creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce: put the fresh Gorgonzola cheese in a bowl, add some cutted herbs, pepper and a drop of olive oil. Then mix energically all the ingredients with a spoon for a couple of minutes; the mix should be very creamy.
Now it’s time to roll out the pastry and, with a sharp knife, cut long stripes 3 centimeters wide. Spread on each stripe a bit of olive oil; then put the Gorgonzola sauce and lay two slices of Spianata Romana on each stripe. Now roll up the pastry, sprinkle with some herbs and put each roll in the oven to bake for 15 minutes at 180°.
When it’s ready it is perfect for the aperitivo: try it paired with an italian spritz with Aperol, considered the aperitif par excellence and consisting of three parts of Prosecco, two parts of Aperol and one part of soda.
