Fettuccine with Prosciutto

A delicate recipe with pasta and Italian Prosciutto to surprise your friends!

Introducing a tasty main course for today’s meal, Fettuccine with Prosciutto Italiano and zucchini. We choose Prosciutto Italiano for its delicate and unique flavor that perfectly fits the recipe.

Ingredients (for 2 people): 

  • 5 oz Fettuccine
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 4 slices of Prosciutto Italiano
  • 1 Shallot
  • Pistachios
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Parmesan cheese

Preparation time: 20 minutes

First, boil some water with a spoon of salt in a pot for pasta. In the meantime, wash and dice zucchini and stir-fry them in an oiled pan with some chopped shallot.

In a large frying pan brown the shallot with olive oil and sauté zucchini over medium-high heat until it slightly softens. Grind some pistachios and cut Prosciutto Italiano slices in small stripes. Cook them in an empty pan until they get crispy.

Once cooked, drain Fettuccine saving some cooking water and stir them in the zucchini pan to gain flavor with the other ingredients. Finally add the crispy Italian Prosciutto slices, toasted pistachios and plate. You can garnish the plate with additional Prosciutto slices, grinded pistachios and Parmesan cheese. 

You can pair this dish with a glass of red wine, like Valpolicella or Barolo.
